About the Author
Marleen Barr teaches science and technology studies at Michigan State University. She is a winner of the Science Fiction Research Association Pilgrim Award for lifetime achievement in science fiction criticism. Barr is the author of Feminist Fabulation: Space/Postmodern Fiction (Iowa, 1992), Lost in Space: Probing Feminist Science Fiction and Beyond, and Alien to Femininity: Speculative Fiction and Feminist Theory.
