HERE IS MY METHOD. I BELIEVE THAT RESEARCH ON THE HISTORICAL JESUS NEED NOT BE A THREAT BUT CAN BE A THEOLOGICAL AND SPIRITUAL RESOURCE FOR CHISTIANS. I WANT TO DEMONSTRATE THE TRUTH OF THIS BELIEF. MY PURPOSE IS TO HELP READERS TO RELATE TO JESUS IN A PERSONAL WAY. HENCE I ENGAGE IN A WORK OF POPULARIZATION WHERE I DELIBERATELY DEPEND ON THE WORK OF RELIABLE SCRIPTURE SCHOLARS, PRIMARILY JOHN MEIER. THE BOOK EMPLOYS A METHOD OF CORRELATION BETWEEN THE HISTORICAL JESUS AND OUR LIVES TODAY. I WILL TRY TO RELATE WHAT WE CAN KNOW ABOUT JESUS TO THE EXPERIENCE I KNOW BEST, NAMELY MY OWN AND THAT OF MY CONTEMPORARIES.
