About the Author:

Loretta A. Serna, Ph.d is a professor in the Dept of Educational Specialties/College of Education at the University of New Mexico. She received her Ph.D. in developmental and child psychology from the University of Kansas. Her research interests and publications are in the area of emotional-bheavioral disorders, social behavior and skills, and the prevention of social-emtional problems in young children.
