About the Author

Jeffry A. Borror has managed programming and technology groups over the past 20 years. As managing director of front office computing for Lehman Brothers he directed the development of a distributed trading system that ran in New York, London and Tokyo. As director of information technology for Daiwa Securities America he was one of the first to adopt Java technology on Wall Street. He directed the development of three Java-based trading systems and a middle office architecture that integrates the firm's front and back office systems. Java POOP is based on the course material that Jeff taught at Daiwa Securities.
