Synopsis
C'est l'histoire d'une voiture de sport qui ne voulait pas mourir. La Cobra a été créée par Carroll Shelby et produite à la fois par Shelby American aux États-Unis et AC Cars en Grande-Bretagne. Lancée en 1962, la production de la Cobra a cessé en 1968 après un immense succès en compétition, laissant une empreinte indélébile dans l'histoire de la voiture de course. Plus tard la Cobra réapparut sous forme de kits qui eurent un succès tel que les deux producteurs - américain et anglais - se remirent à la produire. Tentatives de conquêtes de marché et batailles juridiques se sont alors succédé. Aujourd'hui encore, cette voiture est fabriquée sous de multiples formes. Largement illustré par plus de 300 photos, inédites pour la plupart, ce livre fascinant nous plonge dans l'histoire unique d'une véritable icône : la Cobra.
