Synopsis
Descended from a long line of Brahmin priests and trained as a Yogi, Rabindranath Maharaj meditated for many hours each day during the childhood in Trinidad, often experiencing psychic phenomena, and as a teenager he fulfilled the prediction of pundits and astrologers that he would be a great Hindu leader. His autobiography, written with Dave Hunt, describes Hindu life and customs clearly and honestly. With poignancy but without polemic, it traces his difficult search for meaning within his parents' faith, his increasing disillusionment, and his struggle to choose between Hinduism and Christ. Rabindranath Maharaj, deeply committed to ministering and witnessing to young people hung up on Eastern religions, has helped found a training center for Christian workers in Switzerland and lectures to university groups throughout the world.
