About the Author

Barnett D. Laschever was born and raised in Connecticut. He was the director of tourism for the state for 17 years and for more than 30 years has been a travel editor and writer for such newspapers as the Hartford Times and the late New York Herald Tribune. For three years he worked as managing editor and contributing writer for Fodor's Modern Guides. He lives in Goshen. Andi Marie Fusco, a lifelong resident of Connecticut, is a journalist and schoolteacher. She lives in Washington Depot.
