About the Author

Christina Tree is a longtime travel writer for the Boston Globe and a contributing editor to the Yankee Magazine Guide to New England. She is credited with creating and defining the Explorer's Guides' high standards more than 25 years ago—a standard that she continues to influence to this day. She is also the co-author of Explorer's Guides to New Hampshire, Vermont, and the Berkshire Hills and Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Christine Hamm, a longtime New Hampshire resident, has written about travel, the arts, and entertainment for the Concord Monitor and the New York Post. She lives in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
