Pacific Northwest guitarist, Johnny Allen Hendrix hit the HEIGHTS of rock& roll fame in 1967 and was dead by September three years later. These 96 pages describe Jimi's life through the lyrics of his songs. Also printed are lyrics written by others such as Carl Perkins and Chuck Berry, that JIMI played. Chas Chandler's big gamble (see page 03 [1966]) ius what started the whole SUPERSTARDOM thing. Barbituate is what ended it. Illustrated by many b/w `press' photos of Mr. Stringbender. Also included is much of the album art. Discography at back. Cond: Paper wrapper is gray, front cover buff - lettering purple. Cover graphic is a very grainy, very thoughtful close-up of Jimi. Fore corners SOFT,edges better. Spine fine, colours bright, binding sound. Minimal soiling. No names, marks, tears, creases,folds, nor stains. Collectible and hard-to-find !!
