About the Author

Lillie Weiss received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a psychologist in private practice and the co-author of GOOD GIRLS DON'T EAT DESSERT: WOMEN'S CONFLICTS ABOUT EATING AND SEXUALITY.

Melanie Katzman is a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor at the New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center in New York. She is currently on faculty at the University of London's Institute Of Psychiatry where she coordinates an outpatient eating disorder's treatment service. In the past she was the Clinical Director of Psychiatric Outpatients Services and the Director of the Eating Disorders Program at the Regent Hospital in New York City. She is a co-editor of FEMINIST APPROACHES TO EATING DISORDERS and serves on the editorial board of EATING DISORDERS, A JOURNAL OF TREATMENT AND PREVENTION.

Sharlene Wolchik received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Rutgers University. She is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Arizona State University.

The authors have been working with bulimic women for many years and have done a great deal of research in the area. They are the co-authors of TREATING BULIMIA: A PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL APPROACH and of many articles in the area.
