About the Author

The son of a North Alabama trapper, Wayne Fears holds a degree in agriculture from Auburn University and a graduate degree in outdoor recreation from the University of Georgia. An accomplished writer and outdoorsman, Fears has authored more than 14 books on outdoor subjects and over 3,000 magazine articles for major magazines. He has been elected a member of the Explorer's Club for his work in the Arctic and is currently editor of "Rural Sportsman" for Progressive Farmer.

Larry "Mr. Whitetail" Weishuhn, master sportsman and native Texan, has a lifetime of international hunting experience. He is a wildlife biologist by training, with a degree in wildlife science from Texas A&M, and is a consultant to the outdoor sports and game management industries. A respected outdoors writer and lecturer, Larry Weishuhn is a contributing editor of Shooting Times. He has been a producer, director and host of several television programs. Weishuhn makes his home in Uvalde, Texas.
