About the Author

Sandra Turner-Barnes is the executive director of the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission in New Jersey. She was awarded the Ebony Magazine Literary Award for Short Fiction for her short story, ""Burnt Bacon,"" and is the author of Always a Lady. She lives in Camden, New Jersey. Bernard Collins Jr. is an illustrator whose work has been exhibited throughout the Mid-Atlanticarea. He lives in Philadelphia.
