About the Author
Fourth generation pioneer descendant Joyce Badgley Hunsaker played a key role in the creation of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. Her nationally acclaimed living history dramas of pioneer days continue to breathe life into the legacy of the Trail.
Jeff Gnass travels extensively throughout the continent photographing scenic and historic places, and documenting our heritage lands. Since first picking up a large-format camera in 1978, his images have graced thousands of pages in books, calendars, and magazines.
