Denver private investigator Mike Ramsey accepts a strange mission from Vivian Angelic, an ultra-rich, unstable ex-mental patient: find God and her lost brother, another mental patient with a Jesus fixation. Mike pursues the elusive brother to Las Vegas, Ireland, Rome, Paris, Switzerland, and beyond while "suffering" from Vivian's chameleon-like changes from lust goddess to brainwashed tool of Evil. Peripatetic psychiatrist Ned Devilian, meanwhile, attempts murder. Sprinkled with bizarre messages and all manner of drugs, thugs, and sudden shifts in locale, this slippery first novel sacrifices depth and credibility to action. Pretty silly, overall; not recommended.
