About the Author

SAMUEL ATLEE attended Duke University and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Tunisia before receiving his MFA at the University of Iowa Writers? Workshop, where he was a Teaching-Writing Fellow. He has lived and worked in Hong Kong for The Wall Street Journal, and his stories have been widely published in literary magazines across the country. In 2000, he received a Fellowship in Fiction from the National Endowment for the Arts. Men At Risk is his first collection.
