Synopsis
Erika Ritter worked as a stand-up comic to research the role of Charlie, a woman who writes for a soap opera by day, moonlights as a comic by night, and discovers that her countless failed relationships are the source of her creative and comic talent.

About the Author
Erika Ritter, born in Regina, Saskatchewan, is a familiar voice on the CBC Radio airwaves, most recently as the host of "Ontario Morning," heard across Southern Ontario. Other CBC Radio contributions include guest hosting of a variety of shows, including Toronto's "Metro Morning" and "Here & Now," and national programs such as "The Arts Today" and "The Sunday Edition." Her published works include a number of plays —principally Automatic Pilot two collections of humour, Urban Scrawl and Ritter in Residence; and a novel, The Hidden Life of Humans. She also writes a regular column for Dogs in Canada magazine. The Great Big Book Of Guys: Alphabetical Aspects Of Men is her most recent book. Erika lives in Toronto. (2011-10-17)
