Condition: very good. 1st Canadian Edition, First state. 105, [5]pp. Octavo. Brown cloth covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Two small square marks from tape (slight darkening and residue) on ends of front cover, and two on back cover. Text block is bright and tight. Supplemented with several B/W photographic illustrations through out. In black and red dust jacket (without the gold Governors General stamp seen on the later state). Jacket has some mild wear and very light chipping at edges and spine. Included with the book are two pamphlets for a play of the book put on by the Tarragon Theatre in Toronto in 1989. very good A true first edition (very rare in hardcover, especially in this condition). The first book by the famous Canadian author, poet, filmmaker and editor which won the Governor Generals award for poetry and describes the factual and fictional life of the notorious outlaw.
