Synopsis
The 98-year-old author takes the readers back forty years to the time he and his wife spent in B.C.'s Chilcotin, a region sparsely settled by widely scattered ranches. In a log cabin built mainly by their own hands, they began keeping notes and journals of their life on Little Eagle Lake. Much of this book was written in the winter of 1964 when they were snowbound for two months with temperatures as low as sixty-eight fahrenheit.
