This is the first deluxe, purpose-printed edition of The FAL Rifle, originally published in the three-volume FAL Series. The series starts with North American FALs, NATO's Search for a Standard Rifle followed by UK & Commonwealth FALs and the third of the series is The Metric FAL, the Free World's Right Arm. The first production model of the FAL rifle was as noted, the FAL 'Canada'. FN has introduced numerous modifications and improvements in the interveningyears, and many early FAL components are not interchangable with later models. The Metric FAL provides an illustrated guideto which parts fit what FAL, along with the complete, official BATF list of exempted (legal) 'G'-series FN FALs which were sold in the USA.
