About the Author
Marz was born in Italy. He received his diploma and Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Frankfurt. He joined the Research Laboratories of Siemens AG in Munich in 1984. He is a member of the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft and of the advisory board of Fiber and Integrated Optics.
