About the Author

Professor Brian Culshaw is professor of electronics at Strathclyde University, Scotland. He earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from University College London. Professor John Dakin is the leader of the optical fiber sensors group within the optoelectronics research center at the University of Southampton, England.
