About the Author

Considering it an honor to write of the courage and faithfulness of Christians in warring Europe, Miss Watkins delved into Hungarian history and books on everything from war tactics to soccer. She notes, "It humbled me to live in my mind even for a few months what these people endured for years--I felt unworthy many times to be telling such a story."

Miss Watkins teaches writing at Bob Jones University and writes textbooks at Bob Jones University Press. She is the author of many short stories and several picture books and juvenile novels.
