Joe D. Gray, known to many as a teacher, evangelist, crusade leader, has long been vitally interested in world-wide missions. This initial desire was imparted to him by his parents who also loved lost souls, and was further, emphasized by his life-long friend, G. Willard Collins.
This zeal for leading every person to a knowledge of Christ has led Gray around the world five times in twenty-five years. He was educated at David Lipscomb College, Duke University, and Otago University in New Zealand, where he acquired his doctorate in Missions Ethnological History and where he served as a missionary for 4 years.
In order to help provide the much needed personnel, he is now director of PROJECT GOOD NEWS, a missionary Training Program at David Lipscomb College which now has many youth teaching Christ in countries around the world.
