Real and sustained learning, which often requires a fundamental change in behavior, mind-set, and attitude, is not a rigid, tightly bound process. Ranging from experience to reading, reflecting to imitating, listening to exploring, the way learners learn covers the spectrum. And the methods for teaching, educating, and training must be equally as diverse to be relevant, meaningful, and successful.
ACTION REFLECTION LEARNING presents a time-tested approach to learning that has been inspiring individuals and transforming organizations around the world for more than thirty years. Through stories, journal entries, dialogues, and case examples, coauthors Rimanoczy and Turner provide a hands-on guide to Action Reflection Learning--what it is, how it works, and what it takes to implement it--both in and outside the classroom.
Whether it's used to help individuals through a postmerger integration, to work with a team of educators in crisis, or to prepare young talent for the next big challenge, this holistic methodology stands apart from traditional training methods. With its intense focus on learning style preferences and designing interventions, it both honors differences and acknowledges learners' realities.
