In MIRACLES AND MOMENTS OF GRACE, seasoned author Nancy B. Kennedy brings together stories that touch the heart with inspiring messages drawn from the day-to-day lives of our nation's soldiers. This collection of compelling first-person stories comes from military chaplains who are eyewitnesses to amazing displays of divine intervention, whether in small moments of grace or through miracles of breathtaking wonder. Telling stories that range from the simple joy of a Christmas party for deployed service members to the terror of facing a suicidal soldier, this book makes it clear: Military chaplains are tough, on a mission to face some of the darkest moments of the human experience, and they bring the light of faith with them. Whether you are in the military yourself, a family member, or simply a reader seeking inspiration from the work of God even in gritty circumstances, this book will introduce you to chaplains who put their lives on the line to minister to souls all over the world. Their stories will open your eyes and lift your spirits.

"Chaplains serve as a 'reminder of the holy,' a bridge to the magnificent Holy Presence that defeats the horrors of war. These amazing stories reveal the drama of human tragedy magnified in military service and the ever-present, redeeming God in the midst of it all."
-- Chaplain Lorraine K. Potter, Maj. Gen., USAF, Retired; Chief of the Air Force Chaplain Service (2001-2004)
"This remarkable collection of first-person stories clearly shows the extent of God's love for us. God has protected, healed, provided strength, and shown his love through miracles. This book is a must read for anyone looking for the real source of strength and truth in life!"
-- Lt. Gen. Paul K. Carlton Jr., USAF, Retired; Professor of Surgery, Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Surgeon General of the Air Force (1999-2002)
"Miracles and Moments of Grace raises the bar for me as a believer. I am inspired to follow the chaplains' example: to bring Christ's comfort into someone's chaos, to be available as God links heaven's heart with earth's hurts, and to bring worship into the heart of war."
-- Marshele Carter Waddell, president of One Hope Ministry; author of Hope for the Home Front: Winning the Emotional and Spiritual Battles of a Military Wife
"I encourage those who care about soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines to read this profoundly stirring book. Ms. Kennedy has done a masterful job of weaving together these fascinating stories from military chaplains. I am reminded that God is present in unexpected ways in so many places."
-- Chaplain Edward T. Brogan, Colonel, USAF, Retired; Director of the Presbyterian Council for Chaplains and Military Personnel
