About the Author
The author spent over three years in Vietnam, most of it as an artillery forward observer and infantryman. Awards include the Combat Infantry Badge, a Silver Star, four Bronze Stars, three Purple Hearts, and two Army Commendation Medals with "V" device for valor. He was later named DMOR (Distinguished Member of the 9th Cavalry Regiment).
