About the Author:
Mark L. Frigo, PhD, CPA, CMA, is Eichenbaum Foundation Distinguished Professor of Strategy and Leadership and program administrator of the MBA programs in both financial management & control and management accounting in the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University. He received his B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois, MBA degree from Northern Illinois University, PhD in Economics and Econometrics from Northern Illinois University, and postgraduate work at Northwestern University. Frigo’s rich professional background includes extensive experience as a management consultant in strategic services at KPMG Peat Marwick, as well as work in the corporate sector. He is an advisor to the Executive office of Grant Thornton, LLP. A highly demanded speaker and consultant, Frigo helps organizations to design and execute strategy for maximum value creation. He has assisted many organizations in Balanced Scorecard initiatives.

A prolific writer, Frigo has authored numerous professional and academic journal articles and books, including Cost Accounting, Advisory Comments for Growth and Profitability, The Role of Internal Auditors in Business Process Reengineering, and Providing Benchmarking Services for Internal Auditing Clients; and is the principal researcher for the Institute of Management Accountants’ Performance Measurement Survey.
