The sections on building a weather station and using data to summarize and predict weather and climate patterns are particularly well developed. Gardner asks questions extensively to focus attention on what is being done and on specific outcomes. Investigations suitable for being modified and extended for science fairs are marked with an asterisk; "Exploring on Your Own" and "Just for Fun" sections suggest further research.
