Synopsis
Most experiments in chemistry are conducted for procuring data from which inferences can be made. Statistical methods are used to analyze and evaluate the data obtained. However, it is a common and major error to consider statistics as a tool to be applied only after experiments are completed. This book presents the view that a major part of planning for an experiment should be consideration of statistical analysis before data are gathered in order to make data analysis as efficient and informative as possible.
