This story starts in 1973, just after the bankruptcy of Millard's company, System Dynamics, and the beginning of IMS, the predecessor of ComputerLand. More like an adventure than a history, the story covers IMS, its backers and employees, the founding of ComputerLand in 1976, its legal battles, to 1987 when the corporation went publicthe story is still going on. Littman provides an interesting insight into the entrepreneurial birth of a billion-dollar company whose founder did not follow established business practices.
