It extensively criticised the theories of perception of the Buddhists, Naiyayikas and the samkhas. Chiefly the book deals with nature and classification of knowledge and discusses the Nyaya, Samkhya, Buddhist, Bhatta and the Jania theory of Pramana and further analyses the theory of perception according to the Janias and other Schools.
