JOHN VAN WILLIGEN is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Kentucky and Director of the Applied Anthropology Documentation Project which he founded in 1978. He is foremost in his field and has written many books including Making Our Research Useful (1989) and Anthropology in Use: A Source Book on Anthropological Practice (1991).
