About the Author

Jim Johnson has published seven books of poetry: Finns In Minnesota Midwinter and A Field Guide To Blueberries (North Star Press), Wolves (New Rivers Press), Dovetailed Corners (Holy Cow! Press), The Coop Label (Dovetailed Press), DRIVING GRAVEL ROADS (Red Dragonfly Press, 2009) and THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING IN NORTHERN MINNESOTA (Red Dragonfly Press, 2012). He has taught in the Duluth public schools and at the College of St. Scholastica. He was the 2008-2010 Duluth Poet Laureate, and is currently serving a second term.
