Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. Good in fair dust jacket. SIGNED and inscribed/dated "To Al, thank you for your encouragement. Sorry Donning didn't use your generous quote! Love" by the author on the title page. No stated edition or numberline (1st printing). Dust jacket has heavy edgewear. Book would be near fine except for a chip taken out of the top edge of the front board. A signed typewritten letter stating much the same as the inscription addressed to Al Young (the late novelist and former Poet Laureate of California) is laid in. The debut, "a novel of ancient witchcraft and modern terrorism" by the late president of the Horror Writers Association and Bram Stoker Award-winning author (AKA Janet Berliner) of the Madagascar Manifesto series and "Swan Luka". A rare book, especially signed. Where possible, all books come with dust jacket in a clear protective plastic sleeve, sealed in a ziplock bag, wrapped in bubble wrap, shipped in a box. DJ glossy white with beautiful color-illustration of fire-breathing dragon at center front, praise at bottom front from Alex Haley and Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, b/w photo of Gluckman on back. DJ has 1/4" tear at bottom front edge near tip, microtear at spine top right edge, two micronicks and microtear at spine bottom edge, tiny nick and tear at top back edge near tip, very tiny tear at bottom back edge next to tip.
