Synopsis

Industrial mathematics is a fast growing field within the mathematical sciences. Avner Friedman is Director and professor at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications at the University of Minnesota. He is currently the president of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).
