Grade 9 Up-An outstanding overview of both sides of an issue currently in the news and sure to be a frequent topic of debate or reports. In an evenhanded presentation taken from a number of sources, Dudley includes articles that discuss the possible causes of homosexuality, society's reaction to it, whether individuals can change their sexual orientation, and legal sanctions for homosexual unions and parenting. This entry seems less scholarly and easier to read and understand than some of the others in the series; information is well organized and clearly presented, and illustrated with pertinent editorial cartoons. A timely presentation.
