Mitchell E. Shapiro, a professor in the School of Communication at the University of Miami (Florida), is currently the director of honors (and former academic associate dean). The author of six books, he has published numerous scholarly articles in various journals.

An additional section specifies the strategy behind programming maneuvers (e.g., in 1966 ABC introduced The Newlywed Game hoping to parlay the success of their Dating Game ). Analysis and discussion are minimal, but the facts are here, likely to be most useful for professional program directors and advanced researchers.
