This is the third volume by Lentz on this topic. The first was published in 1983, followed by a supplement in 1989. This second supplement covers through 1993.

The supplement continues the format of its predecessors with coverage expanded to include performers who have become famous since 1988. It also includes death dates for those who died since the last supplement. The compiler uses one asterisk to indicate that credits appeared in previous volumes and two asterisks to indicate new information. The citations in the first section, "Actors and Actresses," give performers' birth and death dates, film credits, and television programs with the date they were first aired. The second section on directors, producers, etc., has the same format. Section 3 covers films and lists the date of release, country of origin if not the U.S., alternative titles, production credits, and as complete a cast listing as possible. Section 4 covers television programs and has gone back in time to pick up television series from Britain that have not been seen in this country. The list includes series and individual episodes. The brief bibliography at the end lists books and periodicals such as Cable Guide, Cinefantastique, Fangoria, and Starlog.

This supplement provides such information as the 27 films Roger Corman has made since 1988, that Fran Walter was the voice of Fran Sinclair in Dinosaurs, and that an early British series called Adventures of Sir Lancelot aired 31 episodes in 1956-57. One can find the cast members from movies ranging from Cape Fear to Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-a-Rama.

Lentz has continued in the fine tradition of his earlier volumes with this second supplement. It should be purchased by those libraries holding the first two volumes and by any library with a collection in science fiction, cinema, and television.
