Royal Cruising Club Journal 2007. Notes from the "2007 seems, with the possible exception of Antarctica, to have brought less benign weather than usual. Members sailing in home waters have often pleaded that they have no story to tell. Not so this year. The Western Approaches were host to a procession of active fronts which served up the diet of adversity upon which our members thrive. By contrast, we have heard less than usual from the remoter corners of the planet. Interest in the southern hemisphere has been kept alight by David Mitchell and Jo Winter. Gillie Green and Mike Redfern have reported on less well-known parts of the Mediterranean on Baltic. Mike and Hilde Gill reached Tromsø, the furthest north this year. And for our furthest south, Nøel Marshall's voyage will surely inspire many members to nurture the ambition to make the trek to Antarctica. The quality of charts and photographs has risen most impressively, enabling us to build on the start we made last year with full colour throughout the book. This is the second edition to be produced and printed at Acanthus."
