Synopsis
Whenever John, Paul, or George went on a trip, they would send Ringo a postcard. Now, for the first time, Ringo Starr is opening his private archive to share this delightful and very intimate correspondence.
Whether it's John advising Ringo to record a "great & simple" song like Blondie's 'Heart of Glass', Paul and Jane Asher dropping a note from Rishikesh to report on their meditation lessons with the Maharishi, or George writing from the Great Barrier Reef to confirm plans for Christmas dinner, each postcard is a warm and personal snapshot of life in (and after) The Beatles.
The 51 postcards - many of which are covered in whimsical drawings - are colorfully reproduced, both front and back. Ringo's droll commentary fills in the blanks, though he does confess that at times he had to consult the Internet for details!
Often funny, occasionally bittersweet, and always revealing, 'Postcards from the Boys' is a must for Beatles lovers.

Publisher's original full light brown leather with blind stamped titles to the spine and a Ringo Starr colour postcard onlay to the upper board. Housed in a red metal printed box designed to look like a British post box. Containing facsimiles of the both sides of 53 postcards sent by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison to Ringo Starr tipped in on black, photo album style pages, each with annotations from Ringo explaining the postcards and what was going on in his life at that time. Also included are an envelope of postcards and a sheet of specially designed stamps. An about very good copy, the binding firm, some rubbing and scuffing to soft leather as usual at the spine hinges and rear, the effects of the tin box and condensation etc.,The contents and the box are in excellent clean shape Signed in blue ink by Ringo Starr on the limitation page. This charming limited edition features the reproduction of 53 postcards sent by George Harrison, John Lennon and Paul McCartney to Ringo, facsimiles of which have been individually pasted into the book. Signed by Ringo Starr on the limitation page and numbered 2094 of 2500 Limited Edition copies. [also issued in a Deluxe edition of 350 copies] Glued on the title page is a stamp that was selected from the hundreds of stamps from around the world, specially purchased for this edition. Therefore no two copies of Postcards From The Boys will be the same. This copy's stamp appears to be from Belgium. Also includes the full page of stamps and the three postcards in a black envelope created especially for this edition. The set is in fine condition with the book bound in Nubuk leather and the pages are black photo album paper with silver printing. In the original shipping box.
