When Eileen and Peter Caddy, together with their children and Dorothy Maclean, set up home in a caravan park in northern Scotland in 1962, they did not dream that their small group would grow into a large and thriving spiritual community--the Findhorn Foundation and all its associated projects and individuals. They were led step by step, from day to day, by Eileen's inner voice--the 'God within'--in both psysical and spiritual matters.
Looking back on those early years through the guidance collected in this book, it is possible to see that the concepts underlying the growth of the Findhorn Community are universal ones. The central principle of turning within to find the true source of faith, inspiration and love makes this book relevant not only for those building a spiritual community but also for all who live ordinary lives in our wider society.

Eileen Caddy is one of the foremost sensitives and spiritual teachers of our times. Since the day in 1953 when she first heard an inner voice say "Be still and know that I am God," she has not only lived her personal life by that inner guidance, but has also been instrumental in creating the international spiritual community at Findhorn. Eileen realised that her role was to help others turn within and find their own inner direction, and her books reflect this encouragement to us all.
