Nicely done reprint of the 1884 New Zealand Railways timetable for the then new Auckland Section. The timetables were for the use of NZR employees and provided detailed guidance on many aspects of railroad management, including methods of signaling, ticket collection, information about the locomotives and rolling stock in use, and the speeds at which trains might run. The booklet's introduction also has a short description of the first year on the Auckland Section, including equipment, miles run, revenue, etc., and a comparison with trains on the South Island. With map. 20 pages.
