Pictorial history of the railways of New South Wales, Australia during the 1950s and early 1960s. The book is in full color, many by some of the country's leading railway photographers, and is intended to provide an historically definitive photographic account of train operations in NSW. The book is divided into chapters that reflect the operational structure of the railway at the time: Sydney (often a neglected area); the South Coast, South, West, North, and the North Coast. Given the difficulty of working with colour film in those days and the restraints left over from the War, it is an especially remarkable collection of very fine photographs from across NSW. 112 pages.
