Synopsis
Before WWII, Malcom Rosholt worked as a newspaperman on an English language daily in Shanghai. He traveled extensively throughout north China and studied the Chinese language with a private tutor. In 1933 he returned to the state to marry Margaret Njaa or Northwood, ND, and they sailed from Vancouver on their honeymoon trip to Shanghai. A daughter, Mei-fei, named after a famous beauty of the T'ang Dynasty, was born in 1936.
