About the Author

Sylvia B. Rimm, Ph.D., is a best-selling author who spent nearly a decade as a contributing correspondent to NBC s Today Show. She is a psychologist specializing in gifted children and director of the Family Achievement Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Rimm also writes a syndicated newspaper column on parenting and hosted a nationally broadcast public radio program. She served on the Board of Directors of the National Association for Gifted Children, and is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences. A mother of four, and a grandmother of nine, she lives in Cleveland with her husband.
