About the book >.>.> Each volume although part of the set is complete in itself with its own bibliography and index. A narrative history of the development of each class of instrument included in the collection has been pro-vided since no general synthesis of the history of time-measuring in struments seems to exist in English. These sections, therefore, may be read continuously as an introduction to the subject. Descriptions of individual items in the collection are arranged as nearly as pos sible in chronological order. Where there are several items of the same date, they are arranged in alphabetical order of the maker's name (if known) or that of the region of origin. Technical details are then given in the following order. (MP). Seller Inventory # Batch-FM569-VG-12101
