Erik Stoops has over 15 years of direct, hands-on experience with the wide variety of insects and reptiles which inhibit the Southwest. He is the president and director of the Scottsdale Children's Nature Center for Science and Education. Through the Center, Erik annually lectures at 125 schools throughout the country, teaching children about protecting and conserving the animals and plants of the desert. Annette Wright has more than 10 years of experience with the care of reptiles in captivity. Her main experience lies in the area of raising young animals, and in providing care to those reptiles that are in need of in-depth care and TLC due to injury of illness.
