Chosen by Curator Sarah Tanguy, 22 contemporary artists offered provocative approaches to issues relating to food - its preparation, presentation, and consumption. Food was treated as design, consumer product, metaphor, and icon in paintings, sculptures, photography, installation art, and video. Artists included Margaret Adachi, Bonnie Lee Holland, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Laurie Simmons, Linda Dolack, and Sandy Skoglund. The full-color catalogue is designed in the format of a spiral-bound recipe book. The curator's essay discusses the approach of each artist. 48 pp.
