THE PENNSYLVANIA COMMISSION FOR WOMEN
The Commission works to raise the visibility of issues important to Pennsylvania's women and girls. Its wide-ranging efforts focus on everything from health care and education to business and human rights concerns. The Commission's mission is to identify and advance the diverse needs and interests of Pennsylvania women and girls; to inform, educate, and advocate for them; and to provide opportunities to empower them to reach their highest potential.
THE ART DIRECTOR
Award-winning designer and Philadelphia native Kristin Haskins is a principal of keydesign-a multidisciplinary design studio specializing in visual communication, product design and development and branding. Kristin launched her studio in response to a growing demand for her work and artistic vision. She also has been a Visiting Professor and Lecturer at the University of Connecticut, Penn School of Design, Tyler School of Art, and currently is an Adjunct Professor at Philadelphia University.
THE PHOTOGRAPHER Darcy Padilla has received major photographic awards for her documentary essays on the poor in the U.S. Her photographs have appeared in publications such as Life magazine and The New York Times. Among other honors, she has received an Alexia Foundation Award, an Open Society Individual Fellowship, and a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship.
THE WRITER Award-winning journalist Julie Liedman writes everything from books and speeches to white papers, marketing material, and ads for a variety of corporate, academic, and not-for-profit organizations. A former newspaper reporter and magazine editor who lives and works in Philadelphia, she also writes for regional and national publications. Her work has appeared in magazines ranging from The Ladies Home Journal to American Banker.
