Reviews

Easy to read charts identify the normal ranges for a wide variety of analytes in children from neonates to adolescents and young adults. They provide benchmarks against which clinical chemists, pathologists, and pediatricians can measure test results to improve diagnosis and treatment. The values are derived from studies of usually between 50 and 100 children, and are distinguished by age and gender. The date of the first edition is not noted; the second includes hematology analytes plus other additional ones. The arrangement is alphabetical by analyte. No index. -- Copyright © 1999 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR All rights reserved
